My daughter when in her class 4th had this story about SKY FALLING AND ALL THE ANIMALS REACTING TO THIS NEWS blindly and then running helter and skelter, and ultimately one of the wiser animals stops this nonsense by doing a reality check. We could probably take the help of such stories which bring us back to our senses with a thud. First of all, an advisor should himself be balanced and intelligent/well-informed, so that he could become the anchor for his investors.

The number one thing in my life I have done is to stop watching television and reading views of experts- God knows which expert is dis investing an IPO- taking a gibberish view by giving data points on global - local linkages to make their point succinctly. The biggest experts called Indian investors wise two years back for doing gold and real estate- and now see whats happened - truly steer clear of the media, its in our long term interest.
