A few days ago, K S Rao had introduced BSL's ambitious new investor education initiative - Jaanoge Tabhi Toh Maanoge - JTTM (Click Here). In this follow up piece, he takes us through the extensive on-ground initiatives that he has chalked out under the JTTM banner which has three well-defined aspects to it, to cater to different investor audiences. Read on as he explains BSL MF's on ground education initiatives and decide which of these you would like to partner with him and his team in executing in your town.

Hello Friends,

A few days back, I discussed with you the launch of our investor education initiative - Jaanoge Tabhi Toh Maanoge (JTTM) and introduced you to one of its elements - which discussed investors' desire for quick returns from mutual funds (Click Here). I also asked you to take a look at our TV ad and send a link to your clients. I am happy to share with you that our Initiative has received fantastic response. It certainly seems to have connected with everyone. I am happy to see that this initiative is not just educational, but is also empowering investors.

Some more messages your clients may find interesting

I had promised, in my last article, to share more details of our JTTM initiative - here it is! When you visit our dedicated JTTM website (www.janotohmano.com), you will see many more simple messages that you can use to help your investors and prospects understand how to make the best use of mutual funds. Some examples that I will encourage you to look at are :

3 different on-ground initiatives

JTTM is being propagated through TV, we have a radio campaign and an active digital campaign. Besides this, we have a very active set of on-ground initiatives, which we are doing in partnership with our distribution partners in various cities and towns. There are 3 different on-ground initiatives that are underway.

Under the JTTM banner, we have 40 investor education camps chalked out for November and December alone - the first 12 have already been done, and response has been very encouraging. In order to ensure that we get fresh faces into these sessions - savers who have not invested in mutual funds yet - we are working closely with Rotary Clubs and Lions Clubs and are also working with Chapters of various CA circles in different cities.

Under the AMFI District Adoption Plan (DAP), we are adopting 10 districts across India : West Godavari, Bellary, Rewari, Hassan, Chikmagalur, Chitradurga, Gadag, Wayanad, Idukki and Bijapur. Under the JTTM banner, our education initiatives will kick start in these districts from December 12th.

The third aspect is engaging school children and college students. For school children, we have developed a fun program called Money Lab, through which we help them understand the importance of money and the importance of saving and investment. We have a special program meant for final year college students - young citizens who will be going on shortly towards their first jobs. This program is called Your First Paycheck.

Come, partner with us

I want to reiterate here that all these initiatives are being done in association with our local distribution partners. We are very happy to partner with you to deliver any of these 3 programs to your clients and your prospects. Do let us know and we will be happy to work with you in your city or town. Our aim through JTTM is to reach out to the masses across the country, and help people understand why they must consider mutual funds as an integral part of their savings and investment plans. In this effort, I am counting on all my distribution partners to work with us in this JTTM initiative, spread awareness and help our industry grow.
