7500 distributors have downloaded I Pru Touch and are actively using its calculators, NFO updates and media updates. They now have an added feature that I Pru offers them - of facilitating paperless transactions for their clients through I Pru Touch. Read on as Raghav takes us through the new transaction capabilities of I Pru Touch and how it can help distributors enhance their productivity. For those who haven't yet downloaded I Pru Touch, here's one more reason for you to consider it.

WF: How will the new transaction facility on IPRU Touch work?

Raghav: With technology becoming omnipresent, the status quos that still exist in sales processes of the mutual fund industry, could be done away with to boost the productivity of our esteemed advisors. While advisors should spend most of their time engaging with investors, a substantial portion of their total productive time gets spent on operational / administrative activities.

Besides being lengthy and time-consuming, the current on-boarding process for investors is expensive. The expense may not be as much in terms of its actual incurrence but more so with respect to the opportunity loss suffered in the process. If the time spent on documentation, transaction, travel, and more such miscellaneous activities could productively be redirected, the business potential for advisors could be manifold of the present achievement.

To address this issue, a new feature of transaction facility has been launched in IPRU Touch mobile application, first time in India that will enable the financial advisor to facilitate investors' transactions. To avail this facility, advisors have get investors to sign the One Time Mandate (OTM) form. Once the transaction is made by the financial advisor through IPRU Touch, there will be a phone call verification as a part of the process from the AMC to the investor.

WF: What are the other features of IPRU Touch?

Raghav: Besides the newest feature of Transaction Facility, the other benefits of IPRU Touch include:

  1. Access to market news, expert views, product & New Fund Offer updates.

  2. Financial planning tools in form of several calculators (SIP planner, Retirement Planner, Dream House, Child's marriage & Education planners and other goal planners) which can aid financial advisors to tailor investment solution for investors.

  3. Videos on market trends, product features and concepts.

  4. A snapshot of quantitative data of various schemes for distributor's ready reference.

  5. User-friendly interface and intuitive features like e-mailing NFO briefs & calculations directly.

WF: Can investors use this directly or is it meant only for distributors?

Raghav: This is a facility for the financial advisors, to conduct transactions on behalf of investors' through IPRU Touch, aimed at strengthening the relationship our esteemed advisors with their clients.

WF: Will the new facility be available only for existing folios or can a new folio also be created?Can non-financial transactions (like bank mandate change, nomination change etc) also be carried out through this facility?

Raghav: At present, this facility is available for existing folios to make Purchase, Redeem and Switch transactions of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund schemes. It will be our continuous endeavor to make enhancements in this application for the benefit of our advisor community.

WF: For distributors who use this new facility, where will MF Utility fit into the overall scheme of things?

Raghav: IPRU Touch is not competing with existing applications and is a move towards digitization of mutual fund transactions.

WF: How has distributor response been to I Pru Touch? What aspects of I Pru Touch seem to be most frequently used or most appreciated?

Raghav: We have received an overwhelming response from the advisor community. Currently, close to 7500 users have downloaded IPRU Touch. The financial planning calculators, the New Fund Offer section and our Media views in form of expert authored articles and interviews are most frequently used.

WF: What is the roadmap you envision for I Pru Touch over the next 3-5 years and how would you like your distribution partners to optimally leverage it?

Raghav: In the coming time, we envisage IPRU Touch to simplify the way advisor operates by offering a comprehensive end-to-end solution to enhance their productivity, business and engagement with clients.
