A new app to help you chat with fund managers

Kotak MF has launched a new app called Kotak Touch To Sell, which connects you with all the latest from the fund house, including regular chats with their fund managers. You can also suggest a chat theme that is relevant for you, and Kaiyomurz's team will help get the chat organized with their expert. Read on as Kaiyomurz takes us through the new app and how you can use it to sell smarter.

WF: What are the features of the new Kotak Touch-to-sell app? Why is it called as such?

Kaiyomurz: Kotak Touch to Sell is a one stop destination for our channel partners to get access to the key marketing initiatives and updates from Kotak MF. The thought behind the app was to make it convenient for our partners to access marketing material, videos, expert views from our fund managers, tools and tips on investor awareness for their clients and the like. All this information might come in handy for our partners while talking to their clients on Mutual Fund as an investment option and may help them convince their clients better. Thus the name Touch to Sell .

WF : How does the fund manager chat actually work?

Kaiyomurz: Indeed the key feature of Touch to Sell is the chat window, which allows the user to chat with our fund managers on a pre announced date and time. The experience is like a regular chat session we normally do on a PC and is quite convenient. It is an open forum where every user can get access to each other's questions and the answers given by the fund manager can be read by all users present. It also has a "Share" feature, whereby the transcript of the entire chat can be mailed by the user to their chosen email id.

WF: Can distributors suggest topics for chats?

Kaiyomurz: Yes we are open for taking suggestions and recommendations from our channel partners to suggest a topic for a chat session. We are exploring a feedback mechanism where our partners can suggest topics for future chats.

WF: Will you also feature chats with Nilesh periodically?

Kaiyomurz: Yes we are looking to have him for a few sessions in future.

WF : What is the content on KMF TV?

Kaiyomurz: KMF TV gives users access to a range of videos in the product / category and investment awareness space. From views on markets, explaining key mutual fund concepts to product tutorials, we have a lot of options.

WF: How is the Faydelal initiative coming along? How can distributors leverage Faydelal on this new app?

Kaiyomurz: Faydelal is our mascot for spreading financial literacy. Over time, we have generated a lot of stories covering various aspects relating to mutual funds, financial planning and investments. We have also developed videos which explain concepts in a more engaging manner. Regular mailers, Whatsapp videos and events on Investor awareness are continually happening under the Faydelal initiative.

WF: Are there any transaction capabilities built into this app?

Kaiyomurz: Currently we do not offer such a facility but going forward we may plan to integrate this feature which will help users.
