I am a proud investor of this fund and 2 folios which dt back to 2003-2004 and they are still alive, the average returns they have generated are around 20% the reason for my sticking to the investments, are that I always had confidence in the FUND NANAGER MR PRASHANT JAIN and above all the AMC, The fund had very bad patches when even my confidence had shaken but the gut feeling kept me going, I still continue to hold these investments but the growing size HAS BECOME A CAUSE OF CONCERN, WHATEVER THE HDFCMF MAY JUSTIFY, THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE AMC TO LIMIT THE TICKET SIZE OF INVESTMENTS SAY TO MAX 2 LAKH SO THAT THOSE INVESTORS WHO HAVE HELD THEIR GUNS SO FAR DO NOT SUFFER AT THE COST OF FRESH MONEY, the tine has come for amc to feclitate sunch investors who had stayed with the fund during the roughest patch

A commentary on large AUM base of the fund is much required.

During last year I had a chance to be part of one of the AMC`S presentation, where I witnessed two investors, who stayed invested from inception, to be part of the Celebration. These two investors were asked, as to what made them stay invested? One, a savvy customer and a management consultant said he remained consciously invested without worrying too much, in between cycles up or down. The other, a govt officer retired was honest to admit, that he simply forgot about this investment. Moral of the story which can be reiterated here is one can grow wealth in equities, like in any asset classes, if one stays invested for long. The AMC`s have to take the REAL ESTATE/GOLD head on and make the customers STAY INVESTED and not succumb to either Anxiety or Greed. Focus and comparison should be with this asset classes to drive the point repeatedly that one can create WEALTH only if INVESTED for long periods. Best Wishes, SrinivasanTS
