It wqill be interesting to see how open ended schemes have performed in the same period as closed ended schemes. Closed ended schemes are being brought out to pay high upp front to bank and IFAs. There is no other logic.
ICICI Pru MF has come up with lots of closed ended schemes in last year to till now, and all schemes has given good returns too.for coming these schemes the money collects and comes in equities through MF . I think this is good idea to bring money in to equity MUTUAL FUND. this time the selection of theme is really good.

We often advise investors not to time the marklet.The very concept of right time to enter and right time to exit ( that too predetermined) does not fit well with the basic advise. While , the AMC might be correct in proposing this timing , the Advisor is at a risk - when a specific closed ended fund fails to deliver ,as we do not have the flexible to extend the period of investment, this especially very true where investors look for propfit at each of the investments piece by piece.
