Thanks for creating positive vibes. But i am of strong view that the aspect of liquidity must not be compromised. Due to various reasons some de-rating may happen and the person investing in mutual fund is ready to take the small hits but if his money gets stuck he loses the trust in MF process. Further illiquid assets provide extra gain of not more than 100-150 basic points and hence risk reward ratio also becomes negative.
Highly educative and informative
Very valid points. Excellent writeup. SEBI/AMFI/AMCs should seriously consider the suggestions. Advisers should use this to build a checklist for selecting the right debt fund.
Sunil Sir, as usual great article. Keep sharing your thoughts with us...for the betterment of IFA community...
Excellent article and a good guide for IFAs on how to select the appropriate debt fund for clients.
Excellent and Thought Provoking article. Irony of our industry has been that time an again the advisors (entire fraternity) n the investors chase returns forgetting the real motive of investing is to get better then FD returns. Hence falling in this trap of returns and there by increasing the risk. Our main job has to be managing expectation of clients based on his investing time horizon.
I think this is the piece of paper which needs to be circulated/made understood to all IFAs whether they are selling Debt fund or not. A matured IFA is the asset to AMC. Debt is an important asset class which is beneficial to all stake holders from business growth perspective to asset allocation strategy. This is high time to educate all.
Pl give the safest fund with good return for the information of IFAs n remote places like us.Mr bond may do this for the welfare of IFAs ndd lso their investors
Mr Bond, as usual, very practical insights. Keep sharing your pearls of wosdome with the IFA community.
