We are awaiting full & final decision from AMFI and SEBI regarding the incentives to IFA`S. My second question to all that we have read so many circulars regarding the protection to the investors in Mutual fund industry, and every one talks about only in favor of investors. So for i have not seen any circular for protecting the IFA`S from investors. IFA`s take lot of interest and precautionary measure to protect the interest of the investors by acquiring knowledge from fund managers, through Internet etc some time due to mkt condition IFA may go wrong then what s the protection to IFA1`.I invite all experts and seniors to provide their suggestions to help small scale IFA`s.

Dear Dalmiaji, Thanks for your observation and writing about 2 sets of IFAs. Average IFAs also do possess the qualities but they are dependent on the income for their livelihood. Unlike in other industries,(there is upward revision ) I find that there is constant (lowering) tinkering on the subject of payment of commission in MF industry. Why is it that IFAs are always targeted as if his income is princely? In order to meet both ends the average IFAs are forced to seek alternative sources of income as they are unable to withstand even for the short term.

Dalmiaji, good input, - There are two parts to look at it. One is integrity, humanness, ethics, etc,. not just important for IFA business, but also for any human being. Other, being only positive about certain things like future etc,. will help somebody to create his perceptions. Again how much of these perceptions would be able to take care of needs of an IFA like his children fees, rents, loan liabilities etc,. if an IFA him self is finding it difficult to have his own life and business plans vision, how effectively he will be able to hand hold the clients in achieving their goals? Being positive should be the industrys policy to take things forward,in which environment an IFA with above good qualities, will be able to reach higher levels or any amount of these good qualities would be making him to be on the spot cycle which does not reach anywhere, even with huge amount of effort.

A super IFA shall also be aware of his own revenue , profit and loss model clearly. Most of the super IFA I have met are interestingly in full trail model of commission structure. This is slightly commercial and technical aspect , but a simple trait that can easily emulated from them.

Prabhu ARN NO :ARN-12746 Kolhapur, 28 Apr 2015

These are ideal IFAs who have been in business for many years and especialy they they have build their AUM when commission was 2.25%. Today if a person is building new business he should have atleast so much money that he can run his house atleast for 2 years. In todays situation I dont think any IFA can practice these principals right from the word go. It may take five years(provided he survives in business) to follow these principals and practices. All is well in classroom
