India is not a developed country. The Green Tribunal is not doing a good job. The common mans view point is not represented or considered. Has anyone realistically considered the extent of pollution caused by old vehicles. Do we have even a faint idea of how many old vehicles are plying on the roads and what are the overall cost-benefits. This scheme is more to help the automobile manufacturers than anything else. If one were to consider all aspects of this proposal, it will be realised that vehicular pollution by well maintained vehicles is not such a big deal. Hope the Govt. will take a common citizen friendly view and not succumb to the machinations of the various lobbies.
