It is very inspirational for IFAs that an advisory council has been set up. It should work for IFAs and sort out the problems. I am very sorry that there was organised a programme in Bhubaneswar but I could not know about the programme. I requested to BIRLA AMC to inform about such programme in near future. Again I thanks to Birla AMC for set up the advisory council.

Amol Chitale ARN NO :30587 Solapur, 15 Apr 2014

Thanks for setting up the Advisory council. I do not think that privilege club is a good idea. Small IFAs (AUM less than 2 crore) who still wish to work with the industry (By NOT making ANY False promises to the Client !) have been the hardest hit. Reward those IFAs who bring Fresh Clients (ticket size shouldnt matter). Advise IFAs to sell only SIP/balanced fund to first time investors.

IT IS A GOOD APPROACH TO KNOW THE NEED OF INVESTORS FROM GROUND LEVEL SO IT IS EASY TO IMPROVE POLICY LEVEL DECISIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF BOTH.

Congrats to Balasir, Siddharthsir and whole Birla Amc team for starting such great initiative before two years of Privilege Club for long term benefit of IFA community and MF industry. I think other Amcs are also trying to copy it in one or other way but are not able to justify it or even can execute it. Anyway, your this move of IFA Advisor Council is also eye opner to industry. Keep it up

It is an unique and heart warming initiative taken by Birla Sun Life MF towards "Continue Professional Education"(CPE) for the experienced and new entrants in the field of Mutual Funds. The IFA Council main aim and objective as defined by CEO clearly speaks of that one being ARN holder of AFMI and associated with one or multi AMCs has to advise the investors to invest hard earned money in prudent way. A time may come, when the people would realize the value of Mutual Funds Industry. The morale of ARN holders get boosted when we attend seminars/training and orientation. It helps particularly the freshers to gain strength by interacting with each other during the events participation. I am empanelled with Birla Sun Life MF and would like to attend the events organised at New Delhi. My heartiest thanks and congratulation to all associated with this IFA Council.

Move is bit confusing. The feedback TO and FRO was anyways shared with IFAs during meets and specific help/suggestions/feedback is anyways collected from Independent bodies like FIFA, COFP etc. Felt, its duplicating functions which already are carried out presently.

Why this beating around the bush ? I am not able to understand the single benefit to me or any other IFA out of this initiative. I suggest follow the advice of key business partners by inviting direct feedback on website. How these people were selected ? How they represent all IFA ? Our industry need focus and concentration rather than hip hazard initiatives !

It s good initiative. All the members can be requested to take feedback from local advisors before council meet for the proposed agenda. This may help other advisors to express their concern.

An excellent idea by Birla MF. If continued without break this will help IFAS to improve the knowledge and help them to market the product. No use taking only awareness prgrammes. If the guide is well informed he will help to create wealth for the investor
