Are you getting hastle free service from R&Ts ?No. of comments:18 Sam Koshy, KOLLAM, 5727 On 24-Jul-2014

As distributors we expect the best service from R&Ts. The hastle free service from R&Ts will be booster dose for distributors. In KOLLAM district any distributor will be having this experience. You step into Karvy mfs and the staff there will give you a wonderful experience. You leave everything with them and they will take care of the transaction. They understand the need of each distributor separately and are providing the best service they can. We distributors in KOLLAM used to discuss about Karvy's service, sometimes we feel its their dedication & updation make them perfect. Every distributor feel the same about Karvy's KOLLAM Branch. It is suggestible for each R&Ts to take tips from this branch to service distributors wonderfully.

Hi Sam, What you told about the services of Kollam Karvy and Mr.Sudheer is exactly right. Here the staff is very responsible. At the same place another Registrar CAMS is working without having basic requirements. An urgent notice is hereby solicited from all AMCs concerned. It is very unfortunate that Cams here is not even having a working UPS! Ultimately, the hastle free service from R&T office depend on the persons, knowledge as well as basic infrastructure they are having.

Dear Sam You are very lucky to get this kind of service. However, my experience in Karvy is miserable.

I fully agree with Mr. M. Ramchandran from Pune and his comments. At the same time I would like to say that the R&T Agents are appointed by the AMCs. AMCs can not and should not be allowed to run away from the responsibilities of giving service to the distributors. Some time back there was a discussion about different practices followed by different AMCs about financial and non financial transactions. All these things should be corrected by the AMCs. Distributors have not asked to appoint R&T agents, distributors are in fact not related to R&T agents in any way. Different AMCs give different guidelines to AMCs and the same R&T agent acts differently in similar cases just because of that. So my opinion is for all such issues like services, uniforms practices and procedures AMCs and their association i.e. AMFI is responsible. They should be approached and they have to take remedial actions. We are not bothered about the R&T.

R&Ts have to improve their service standards, particularly on brokerage reports. 1) CAMS''s brokerage statements for June will read as " from 1st July to 1st july, 2014".The heading of reports should be meaningful. 2) No one will be able to check trail brokerage as a single folio/ scheme of an investor will be broken into multiple parts and reported on a number of places making very difficult to check trail payment. 3) If brokerage report is called for through Mailback system, we get only a summary without client-wise/folio -wise individual entries. The links provided by CAMS through email every month is helpful to download full details in printable format. But link is not given regularly for all AMCs'' brokerage statements. Templeton has got its own style of giving two separate reports instead of one single report. Downloading them involves many steps. Sundaram has categorically refused to give in printable format through email. You have to read about 25 columns for your brokerage details through email. Unfront payments will not be shown separately. I request all brokers/advisors to participate in this discussion and make CAMS / Karvy/ Templeton/ Sundaram understand that we have big issues with their reporting system of brokerage. I hope Wealthforum E-zine will also take up with the R&Ts.

In my experience this usually depends on what relation we have with the R&T people.I used to get good service from all R&T that I deal, and in case the issue is complicated i go directly to AMCs. Though I am not dealing with Kollam, I know it is Sudheer that Sam mentioning who is a wonderful person whom i know for the past 14 years.

Services are not up to the mark, as required, for regular transaction in Baroda from both Cams & Karvy. The worst experience faced by me was during the expiry of my ARN. First no AMC supported me for Refresher Course and when i got it done myself which had a break in period of 3 to 4 months, then the R&T denied to pay the trail commission for this breakin period. However R&T has different norms for different AMCs. Some AMC released the commission without any communication like UTI, ICICI Pru and others. However for others I had to communicate heavily and quote them the T&C guidance from AMFI Guidelines. With Communication for a month or so it has been released now. Yes i do agree if services on regular transaction improves from local level it give positive impact on business

Dear Sam, thanks for raising the topic which is very relevant, as you said registrars are the end service providers to distributors. If the registrar provides a rich experience to distributor then the image of not only the registrar increases but the AMCs also. Registrars & amcs may keep this in mind when dealing with distributors.

Dear Sam, You are indeed very lucky. We in Bangalore are going through horrid experience not just with Karvy but with CAMS. Rejecting redemptions for absolutely minute signature difference and then asking for Bank Attestation inspite of the redemption going to Clients Account directly. And for Transmission, my god, unbelievably pathetic service.

VINOD BHUTADA ARN NO :43455 nasik, 24 Jul 2014

SERVICES PROVIDED BY CAMS AT NASIK IS VERY GOOD,IN MY EXPERIENCE WITH CAMS A VERY CORRECT ACCURATE & NICE SEVICE,VERY GOOD GUIDANCE BY STAFF REGARDING ANY QUERY. THERE ARE SOME ERRORS BUT IF POINTED OUT THEY ACT & CORRECT ACCUATELY.OFFICE STARTS AT 9.15 AM SHARP. KARVY HAD TAKEN SPACE ON FOURTH FLOOR WHERE MOST OF TIMES LIFT IS NOT RUNNING.OFFICE DOES NOT STARTS IN EARLY MORNING. ACCURACY OF WORK THOUGH GOOD IS NOT AS PERFECT AS CAMS. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT.

every karvy personnel tries to reject your transaction. on complaint they tries to confuse you. if they find that there is a fault with them then they will never accept the same and answer to the distributor that you are not investor hence no reply will be given. direct to investor to make complaint. there service are poorest. i always avoid to suggest any mf whose r&t is karvy.

Navin Kumar ARN NO :83441 Patna, 24 Jul 2014

Dear Mr Sam Koshy, I am not lucky like you. My experience with KARVY MFS at Patna is not good at all. In fact it is the poorest service provider of India which is located in Patna. Few days back I sent Reliance MF additional purchase transaction form but they refused to process the application stating that KYC is not attached. I told him that KYC is verified in the folio but still they insisted for the KYC to be attached. Ultimately I have to rush AMC to submit the application. People(KARVY) here are very arrogant/poorly equipped/ill-informed. God save us.

Santosh Bajaj ARN NO :ARN-35755 Raipur, 24 Jul 2014

Dear I too agree n Karvy''s service is too good at Raipur also, but we fed up of CAMS service at both local and central level i.e. Chennai. Some needs to be done for them az they don''t understand our language i.e. Hindi, English but only their local language which is not possible for us. Also, they don''t understand mails properly...Lets us all do something for this..there many more problems to discuss but cant write here..

Manoj Singhal ARN NO :7665 DEWAS(M.P.), 24 Jul 2014

Thanks to Sam Koshy regarding a current topic which is to be discussed. I want to share my experience with a leading registrar CAMs which is rejecting transactions with a reason of signature differ which is not right because in a rising market investor want to book some profit with his old investments which are banned by R&T, SO the image of industry and a distributor is fallen. They rejected my one transaction which is high value and processed a transaction of the same investor which is low value, shameful act.
