Renewal of ARN

In the age of internet and online test it seems that AMFI is living in the age of bullock cart or may be STONE AGE.

It is an irony that an ifa takes online test and gets his pass mark-sheet immediately from test centre. But he can not apply for renewal of his ARN just because he does not have NISM certificate.

As a result his renewal application is submitted after expiry and he loses his due commission during invalid ARN period.

Earlier AMFI used to renew ARN from the date of CPE/TEST and not from date of submission of ARN.

I request FORUM to take up the matter with persons / organisations concerned.

Please inform me which date should be considered for My ARN RENEWAL Whether it is Previous Refresher Course Date or ARN CARD expiry Date. My ARN Expiry Date is 13-09-2013 & MY Previous Refresher Course Date was 08-05-2013. Now Whether I can take the Reresher Course or I have to give AMFI EXAM? Please reply me properly. It seems thatad per the advice of N I S M and decision of AMFI-ARN committee the validity ofARA is aligned with the validity date of CPE certificate w e f January 01 ,2013. Kindly get it confirmed again. This information was mailed to us recently by UTIMF mysore branch manager Mr .Arun who always keeps us updated motivating his IFAs with such latest news.

It is absolutely in the fitness of things to renew licence in continuity such that the IFA community does not suffer because of ill fated and outlived regulations of AMFI and SEBI.

Dear Mr.Rao I agree that test/cpe is awarded by SEBI to AMFI.But I am talking about date of renewal.ARN card can be renewed by AMFI from the date of test/cpe or renewal application can be accepted with the pass mark sheet with condition that copy of test/cpe certificate be deposited as and when received.

AMFI can not do anything. AMFI Test and Refresher course task is awarded by SEBI to NISM. Let us hope SEBI official/NISM read this and do something. Better a presentation to this regard may be made to SEBI.
